More Bad than Good

"And it might take some time to patch me up inside,
but I can't take it, so I, I run away and hide" ~Gary Allan

It was several years ago that I was driving down Interstate 35 leaving Dallas, TX and moving back to Los Angeles, CA.  As I was driving, this chorus came to me and I wrote this song...

MORE BAD THAN GOOD
by: Lisa Marie Farfalla

(verse 1)
D                           C
I try to weigh it out,  my broken heart can’t figure it out
Gadd9                                                     D
And, I just need to know, is it more bad than good

(verse 2)
D                                      C
I sleep alone again tonight,  when I wake up will it be alright
Gadd9                                                     D
Cuz, I just need to know, is it more bad than good

(chorus)
Am
Am I the cause of all your sorrow
Gadd9                                                D
If I was gone would you be alright …        tomorrow

(verse 3)
D                                  C
It tears me up, up inside,  to see the sadness in your eyes
Gadd9                                                     D
And, I just need to know, is it more bad than good

(verse 4)
D                                         C
I hide the things I feel inside,  the fear, the pain, the reasons why
Gadd9                                                     D
And, I just need to know, is it more bad than good

(chorus)
Am
Am I the cause of all your sorrow
Gadd9                                                D
If I was gone would you be alright …    tomorrow,   yeah tomorrow,  no more sorrow

(bridge)
Bm                                               Gadd9
Should I stay, should I think it over,   while I cry and my heart grows colder
Bm                                                       Gadd9                                D
Sometimes your love confuses my mind,   are we runnin’,  runnin’ out of time

(verse 5)
D                           C
I tried to weigh it out,  my broken heart couldn’t figure it out
Gadd9                                                    D
But I still need to know, is it more bad than good

"And I might find in time that,
you were always right,
you were always right"
