What Manner of Man IS this?

It was Sunday morning April 11th, 2004. Not an ordinary Sunday but Easter Sunday - the day Jesus rose form the dead, a day of celebration and love. Spring is so beautiful. I love hearing the birds sing, the beautiful colors, the fresh air, the sun shining, the smell of the flowers; but most of all... BUTTERFLIES!

As I walked into church that morning, nothing seemed different except all the beautiful lilies that surrounded the waterfall in the front of the stage. I walked in and greeted everyone as normal.

I knew we had a special guest this morning and I loved his music, so I knew it would be an amazing service. As I made my way to the front of the church to be seated, I could feel something SHIFT in the atmosphere! I didn't know what but I was paying attention?!

As our guest was announced, he walked up to the front of the stage. He looked a little shy and nervous. His eyes are dark brown, his hair long and wavy; he was wearing jeans, boots and carrying his guitar.

As he sat on the stool with his acoustic guitar, he began to speak softly...

He started to tell us about his terrible upbringing. He explained that his father abandoned his family when he was just a boy. His mother then remarried. He and his sister were raised by their stepfather, who was very cruel and abusive. His mother ended up in prison. The abuse became so bad that his stepfather tried to kill him and ended up in prison for attempted murder.

This sweet, innocent boy ended up in the foster care system and eventually on the streets. He had nowhere to go, no one to take care of him, and no way to take care of himself. He was homeless, lost, lonely, and hungry.

Tears welled up in my eyes as he was sharing his story, and my heart ached for this boy, now a young man, sitting in front of me.

Seeing him and knowing him as a famous singer, I would have never expected it.

As he continued with his story, he told us about a couple that took him in off the streets and let him live with them. One of the conditions the couple had for him to live there was that he attend church on Sundays, which he agreed to.

Through his experience he learned that the love he was missing, the love he was searching for, was always there... through Jesus.

As he began to sing, his voice was deep and crystal clear. There was so much power coming out of his voice that I could feel the vibration in my soul.

As I was listening to him sing, I had chills all over my body and I began to weep uncontrollably. In fact, I don't think there was a dry eye in church that morning.

This young man was none other than the famous Country singer, Jimmy Wayne.

To this day, I still can't listen to this song or watch the video without crying...

Jimmy Wayne ~ I love you this much

Jimmy has continued in his faith, his music, and most of all, he is continuing to raise awareness. He began project Meet Me Halfway to raise awareness of the fact that too many youth, especially those that are aging out of the foster care system, are facing circumstances similar to what he faced.

Meet Me Halfway kicked off January 1, 2010. Jimmy started to walk halfway across America, from Nashville to Arizona.

Fame has not stopped him from showing love and giving back.

Thank you to all of you that have shown your support to Jimmy, MMH, and especially for supporting the children. And thank you to those that brought Jimmy coffee or just stopped on the side of the road, to give him a hug.

God Bless you Jimmy. Thank you for being a VOICE and blessing all of us with your love, faith, humbleness, and music.

I'll leave Y'all with this:

What Manner of Man IS This, that WALKED the hill of Calvary and went to the CROSS, for you and I?

The Message of the Cross IS LOVE.

Thank You, JESUS!

Happy Easter, everyone.

YEEHAW!

P.S. Thank you, AxL for supporting Jimmy. I honor you and I love you! I will always remember...

When Dreams Collide

"It will cost you nothing to dream and everything not to."

I have found that most people delete their dreams, like they are junk mail and don't think anything about them.

I was the same way at one time but something so POWERFUL, beyond anything I could ever explain or anyone else could explain to me; changed me!

I receive a lot of emails regarding the meaning behind Farfalla Dreams, how I know certain things, people ask me all the time to interpret their dreams, about my faith, and/or just have questions.

Let me start off by saying, that I am NOT a Theologian, a Bible Scholar, a Psychic, or a Psychologist. I don't practice New Age interpretation of dreams and I have had no formal schooling in dreams, etc.

Throughout history, God always spoke to people through dreams. As I've said before, maybe He speaks to us through our dreams because it's the only time we're quiet and we'll LISTEN to Him? haha Anyway, we can argue our beliefs all day long but that isn't what I created this page for.

This page will be for those of you that want to get more in depth information about dreams, faith, interpretation of dreams and revelation.

I'm NOT saying that I have all of the answers but I do know the ONE who does. ;)

YES, I am a DREAMER and I am a BELIEVER.

First, ask yourself these simple questions:

1. Why were we created to dream?
2. Why do we spend half of our lives sleeping and dreaming?
3. If dreams are meaningless, then why do we have them?

Hmm... Something to ponder?!

Here are two stories that I love to share...

Not because of who they are but because they BELIEVED their dreams and allowed the rest of us to EXPERIENCE the dream.

May 22nd, 1987
From The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx...

"T-Bone has just left, My head is still buzzing from talking to him. He had a dream last night that he was playing the drums upside down, and he wants to turn it into reality. So he's told management he wants them to design a kit that can spin around like a gyroscope while he's playing it...they're looking into it."

WOW! I recall everyone talking and writing about Tommy Lee's drum solo and his entire kit floating above the crowd, revolving and spinning as he continued playing it.

It was such a blessing to actually be able to SEE it and EXPERIENCE it.

I also love great songwriting. One of my favorite writers/lyricists is Pat Monahan from the band Train. I had tried to write something about his lyrics at one time but between his Solo CD and Train CD's there are so many BEAUTIFUL lyrics... that I would've ended up posting all of his songs! haha

Besides, my words could never COLLIDE to express his beautiful words. ;)

"She acts like summer and walks like rain"

Train won a grammy for the song 'Drops of Jupiter' but the story behind the song IS what IS so PROFOUND.

The story behind 'Drops of Jupiter'

I always tell people...

"Dream God sized dreams and watch Him bring them to pass."

Now IS the time to start dreaming again.
