Hatching Eggs

Farfalla Dreams Journal...
To protect the privacy of others, names have been changed.

The Dream: January 11, 2007

I was in my kitchen coloring Easter Eggs and talking to Sudes. We were talking about the different color of eggs and he was asking me what the significance of the colors meant?

I was explaining the meaning of the colors to him and then I said, "I always thought I was a Pink egg but then God told me I was a Purple egg?!"  We started laughing... hahaha

I glanced over and noticed that there were three Easter Baskets instead of two?  I asked Sudes why we had an extra basket?  He told me that it was for his friend Russell and started to share his story.  He said, "We are coloring the gold eggs for Russell."  I had tears in my eyes, as I put the gold eggs in the extra basket.  I then asked Sudes, "What do you want me to do?" He said, "Do what you always do and while you're at it, pray for my hand and fingers!"

My Thoughts:
WOW!!!  That was a strange dream, where did Sudes come from?  I only met him once, back in the late 80's.  I went to his house because a friend of mine was auditioning for his band.  I shook his hand as we were introduced, but we never spoke that evening.  I never saw him again...

The Egg Hunt:
I prayed for Sudes hand/fingers and I asked God a lot of questions, as I always do.

I often joke with my friends and say, "I ask God so many questions, He's probably in Heaven with his ears plugged, saying... La la La la la"... haha

Anyway, I began to wonder...what Sudes was up to?  What he is doing now? I googled his name and noticed he was working on a new project, so I started to "do what I always do" and I began to promote it. ;)

The Dream Hatches:  April 2, 2007
I just got home and I was taking my dogs out.  As I was outside my phone rang.  I looked at the number and didn't recognize it, (which I usually wouldn't answer) but TODAY I did...

ME:  Hello
CALLER:  Is Lisa there?
ME:  This is Lisa
CALLER:  Hey, this is Sudes

Did I just hear what I thought I heard?  Is this some sort of joke?  I looked at my phone again and at the phone number...

ME:  I'm sorry, who is this?
CALLER:  S-U-D-E-S

He said slowly and sternly... As only a Rock Star can say, when he thinks you should know who he is?!  hehe

I then looked up to the sky and silently mouthed... "What do you want me to say?"

ME:  Hi, how are you?
SUDES:  I'm doin' good, I wanted to call and thank you for promoting my new project.
ME:  Oh you're welcome, I have been praying for you.

SILENCE... 1, 2, 3...

SUDES:  Thanks I appreciate it, so what do you do?  I wanna hear about you.
ME:  I explain what I do and then I say, "I hope your hand and fingers are feeling better."
SUDES:  Uh... How did you know about my hand?

I tell him about my dream...

ME:  I hope you don't think I'm crazy, I just believe and pray!
SUDES:  Nah... I wouldn't have called if I thought you were crazy.  I believe too!  Hey, if ya ever need anything that I can help out with or get involved in, let me know... You have my number... *chuckles*
ME:  Laughing... Thank you so much, I appreciate it and I will.  I am honored that you would call me directly.
SUDES:  Thanks, God Bless you Lisa!
ME:  You too, bye.
SUDES:  Late.

Easter:  April 8, 2007
SUDES sent me an email wishing me a Happy Easter!  ;)

Hmm... Something to ponder...
1) What would possess a huge Rock Star to pick up the phone and call a total stranger?
2) Don't Rock Stars have managers that usually make the calls?
3) Why didn't he block his phone number?
4) It was Easter in my dream back in January. He just happened to contact me a week before Easter and email me ON Easter?
5) His hand and fingers???
6) Is this all just one BIG coincidence?

I have found that dreams are a lot like an Easter egg hunt. The eggs are hidden treasures, that we need to search out and OPEN up.

Colors have always been the easiest for me to remember in my dreams.

God will often times use symbols in dreams, such as seasons, dates, numbers, colors, animals, etc. that have a deeper meaning behind them (which I will touch on in later blogs).

These symbols will allow us to somehow be able to decode the message or get closer to the meaning behind it.

We can paint our outside shells any color we want, but it's the golden yoke inside of us, that represents WHO we truly are!

Interesting... Did you know that hens only lay one egg at a time and can't lay another one for at least 24 hours?! They then will wait until they have 12 eggs, before they start the incubating process. This is where they sit on their eggs, spread their wings to warm them, turn them and protect their eggs. It takes 21 days for the eggs to hatch, after the incubation process begins. WOW!

So let me ask you... How many eggs are in your basket?  How many have you forgotten about, allowed to get cold, or simply ignored?

It IS time to start the incubation process and start hatching those eggs aka DREAMS... inside of you!!!

Happy Easter!

P.S. I Love You SUDES!!! Thank you for your humbleness, for your love for Russell, and for blessing all of us with your many gifts and talents. You and your wife are in my heart and prayers, ALWAYS!!!

What Manner of Man IS this?

It was Sunday morning April 11th, 2004. Not an ordinary Sunday but Easter Sunday - the day Jesus rose form the dead, a day of celebration and love. Spring is so beautiful. I love hearing the birds sing, the beautiful colors, the fresh air, the sun shining, the smell of the flowers; but most of all... BUTTERFLIES!

As I walked into church that morning, nothing seemed different except all the beautiful lilies that surrounded the waterfall in the front of the stage. I walked in and greeted everyone as normal.

I knew we had a special guest this morning and I loved his music, so I knew it would be an amazing service. As I made my way to the front of the church to be seated, I could feel something SHIFT in the atmosphere! I didn't know what but I was paying attention?!

As our guest was announced, he walked up to the front of the stage. He looked a little shy and nervous. His eyes are dark brown, his hair long and wavy; he was wearing jeans, boots and carrying his guitar.

As he sat on the stool with his acoustic guitar, he began to speak softly...

He started to tell us about his terrible upbringing. He explained that his father abandoned his family when he was just a boy. His mother then remarried. He and his sister were raised by their stepfather, who was very cruel and abusive. His mother ended up in prison. The abuse became so bad that his stepfather tried to kill him and ended up in prison for attempted murder.

This sweet, innocent boy ended up in the foster care system and eventually on the streets. He had nowhere to go, no one to take care of him, and no way to take care of himself. He was homeless, lost, lonely, and hungry.

Tears welled up in my eyes as he was sharing his story, and my heart ached for this boy, now a young man, sitting in front of me.

Seeing him and knowing him as a famous singer, I would have never expected it.

As he continued with his story, he told us about a couple that took him in off the streets and let him live with them. One of the conditions the couple had for him to live there was that he attend church on Sundays, which he agreed to.

Through his experience he learned that the love he was missing, the love he was searching for, was always there... through Jesus.

As he began to sing, his voice was deep and crystal clear. There was so much power coming out of his voice that I could feel the vibration in my soul.

As I was listening to him sing, I had chills all over my body and I began to weep uncontrollably. In fact, I don't think there was a dry eye in church that morning.

This young man was none other than the famous Country singer, Jimmy Wayne.

To this day, I still can't listen to this song or watch the video without crying...

Jimmy Wayne ~ I love you this much

Jimmy has continued in his faith, his music, and most of all, he is continuing to raise awareness. He began project Meet Me Halfway to raise awareness of the fact that too many youth, especially those that are aging out of the foster care system, are facing circumstances similar to what he faced.

Meet Me Halfway kicked off January 1, 2010. Jimmy started to walk halfway across America, from Nashville to Arizona.

Fame has not stopped him from showing love and giving back.

Thank you to all of you that have shown your support to Jimmy, MMH, and especially for supporting the children. And thank you to those that brought Jimmy coffee or just stopped on the side of the road, to give him a hug.

God Bless you Jimmy. Thank you for being a VOICE and blessing all of us with your love, faith, humbleness, and music.

I'll leave Y'all with this:

What Manner of Man IS This, that WALKED the hill of Calvary and went to the CROSS, for you and I?

The Message of the Cross IS LOVE.

Thank You, JESUS!

Happy Easter, everyone.

YEEHAW!

P.S. Thank you, AxL for supporting Jimmy. I honor you and I love you! I will always remember...
